Eucalyptus has some interesting attributes: it has little taper over long lengths without being milled, comes in natural shades (gray and brown), features a bark so thin that it is almost negligible, yet has knolls indicative of cut-off tree branches.

- Pressure treated eucalyptus is a hardwood originally used for underground mining struts.
- amaZulu has worked with the EPA to produce the first non-arsenic, non-erosive pressure treatment for eucalyptus.
- Construction grade wood with ground burial rating.
Smaller diameter Eucalyptus Poles (ntengus in Zulu) are perfect for rustic fences, balustrades, animal enclosures, and over-head trellises. Larger diameter Eucalyptus Poles make great fence posts or construction support structures
- Eucalyptus Poles are available in diameters ranging from 1"-6" with larger diameters available upon request and 8', 10', 12', and 18' lengths.
- Inherently Fire Retarded Eucalyptus Poles are available on request and generally have a 3-4 month lead time depending on quantity.
- Class A Fire Retardant can also be sprayed with an exterior application directly to the surface of the Eucalyptus Poles. This method of fire retarding has a quick turn around time.
- Eucalyptus comes in round poles and is a hardwood therefore it can be treated like any lumber for installation
- Screwing or nailing would be the most common method of installation
