Reed Ceiling Board
Reed Ceiling Board, made from single reeds butted side-by-side, are glued onto a masonite board. Originally created to simulate the underside of a traditional thatched roof, these boards are now often used to add atmosphere to tropical or African settings.

- These boards can be color washed (ie white) for a textured ceiling finish.
- Reed Ceiling Board comes as in 4mm thick x 4' high x 8' wide sheets with reeds that run down on the 4' length.
- Color varies in shades of tan, green and beige with some dark brown mottling.
- This decorative board has the option to be supplied pre-fire retardant.
- Reed Ceiling Board is best installed by pre-drilling and then screwing onto the structure.
- Cover the seams with either a stained or natural eucalyptus pole for an African flare or a bamboo trim.
- amaZulu recommends a Split and Finished Solid Bamboo or one of our Bamboo Moldings.
