Retail Stores's Visions Gallery
Featured Vision: Retail Stores
Ron Jon
Ron Jon was designing a new store and wanted the theme to be as natural and authentic as possible. We literally had to bring the outside environment indoors!
amaZulu Materials:
- Tre-Gai Bamboo (window trim)
- Bac-Bac Mat (matting around attic window)
- Woven Willow (interior of shop)
- Woven Bamboo Plywood (display stands)
- Mexican Raincape (Large thatch roof)
Challenge:
The designers came up with structures such as "merchant kiosks", wall treatments, interior roofs and display stands. It was then our job to come up with the right materials to "theme" all components in the store. Our product line is such a natural fit to this store that it made the project easy and fun!
Strategy:
The feature merchant stand was a huge sail shaped roof which we adhered pre-fire retarded Mexican Rain cape to a plywood roof - one layer on the interior of the roof and one layer on the exterior. All the display stands were covered in a woven bamboo plywood and some had mini thatched roofs of Mexican Rain Cape. The main window dressing feature was a "beach hut" themed with Tre-Gai Bamboo and a decorative matting Bac-Bac mat. The walls inside the hut were themed with woven willow, which has a rustic textured look.
Results:
The store is an absolute hit! We met all the themeing requirements for our client while creating the tropical rustic setting which best shows off the products.
