Yes, we can pre-fire retard your Thatch Tiki Bar before it
ships. If it is exposed to the elements, it would be best to test a small
piece of thatch annually to see if the fire retardant needs to be
re-applied. We can ship you the materials to do this or our team can go to
your location.

thatch tiki bar - Attaching the thatch (2 people):
1. Starting at the
outer lower level round hoop, not including the flat-bar hoop, clip on
a regular weight thatch panel. The reed will overhand the frame
approximately 10 inches.
2. Put the next
panel in place beside the first panel, etc. all the way around.
3. Butt adjacent
panels snugly against each other
4. You will need to
trim only one panel per hoop using a utility knife.
5. If the flat rib
section of the steel frame interferes with the clips, shift the panel
a few inches either way. This will ensure that all the clips clasp
over the round bar.
6. Now do the same
for the next hoop and continue until all hoops are full of thatch.
7. The thatched top
cone is placed centrally on the outside and is kept in place by its
own weight. From the underside a broom handle can assist to drop and
situate the thatch cone centrally on the umbrella.
thatch tiki bar - Final Grooming
1. While the ladder
is still up, go around the entire roof and remove any loose pieces
of thatch reed.
2. Then go to the
underside of the umbrella and carefully pat out the underside of the
thatch, lifting the reeds briefly off the steel framework to allow the
reeds to rest and settle evenly on the outside of the frame. Continue
this on each tier of the roof. This procedure ensures that the thatch
is evenly distributed and closes any gaps.
3. Assemble and hang
the fan from the roof with hook bolts supplied.
4. Feed electrical
cord through under the thatch.
5. Secure to left
back upright with cable clips.
6. Install rope
light under counter tops on inside of bar.
7. Hang bottle
holders on inside supports.
Enjoy your Thatch Tiki Bar!
