IAAPA: Do You Have Tradeshow Game?

Margaret Meade once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Entrepreneurial business is all about taking risk, with the confidence of product knowledge and a clear understanding of what the market will tolerate for a niche business like ours.  When it’s backed up with fervor to succeed and fused with business partners and affiliations sharing similar values, you can impact the world.  But there is nothing like the IAAPA EXPO in Orlando.  It’s just fortuitous that our business is in the backyard of one of the most attended tradeshows in the world.  We certainly weren’t disappointed this year with attendance and made the best of all four days as we exchanged information with prospects from around the globe.

We’ve been a part of IAAPA for over 8 years and each year we continue to build on our relationship especially at the EXPO.  In anticipation of the show, we think about how important a venue this is for us to be a supplier of choice domestically and internationally.  Who are we, and how does our product help provide solutions.  It’s fun, exciting and exhilarating.  Even our website took a refresh just in time for the show; and then, it all came together – with heads down, we set about designing the exhibit booth that would attract future clients from around the world. The hard work and preparation was worth the effort, to construct a booth to be the window to our company.  Our amaZulu products are exceptional, and featured thatch roofing materials brought many over with curiosity.

When you invest both time and money to create a booth, it’s important to send the right message. During the creative process, we anchored our thoughts with a clear understanding of why companies like ours go to such great lengths to be at a trade show.  Like the larger company’s who are present, we see the week of IAAPA in Orlando for the next eight years as the opportunity to be a key player in the amusement parks and attractions industry. We’d like the world to come to us; we know we have the right products and the best team. The world did come, our future clients attended IAAPA in droves and if we sent the right message, word will spread. We extend our appreciation to all who made it possible for those few days.  The future is brighter, because of thoughtful committed people in small numbers who brought the world to IAAPA EXPO 2011.
